Lisan talviselt valgete ja siniste motiivide vahele veidi suvevärve ja vürtse..  Sinna, kus alates XVI sajandist oli Alatskivi mõis, ehitas Arved von Nolcken 19. sajandi teisel poolel silmatorkava ja muinasjutulise Alatskivi lossi. Vaatamata hoone keerulisele ajaloole (sõjad, omandisuhted nii Nõukogude Eesti kui EV ajal jne) on ‘lõpp hea, kõik hea’ – tänaseks on loss restaureeritud, selles käib elu (külastuskeskus, Tubina muuseum ja restoran) ja see on kindlasti üks meeldivama miljööga paiku kogu Peipsiäärses piirkonnas (taamal sinabki me suur Peipsi). | And now something different, which gives a bit of contrast between to those latest winter aerial photos here. It is Alatskivi Castle, situated in east of Estonia, quite near to our biggest lake, lake Peipus. It has been built around the second half of 19th century by Arved von Nolcken and it distuingishes quite vividly from other manors and few castles in Estonia. In spite of its complicated history the future looks better now – it has been restaurated and there are a visiting centre, museum and restaurant in it. So all my blog’s foreign visitors: please come and enjoy that marvellous place in Estonia!
